2006 Contemporary Commonwealth was a collaborative exhibition organised by the Australian Centre for the Moving Image and the National Gallery of Victoria Australia to explore the global connections and exchanges between peoples, juxtaposing eleven artists across the vast network of Commonwealth nations with eleven artists from Australia. 2006 Contemporary Commonwealth was a joint project: one exhibition with free entry, one site connecting two venues at Federation Square, twenty-two challenging visions of the new global reality.
