Dissolving Distance Summit
Public Galleries Association of Victoria
GAP was contracted to develop Dissolving Distance Summit 2001 for Mildura Arts Centre on behalf of the Public Galleries Association of Victoria. This was the second Summit and provided a unique forum for the discussion of issues and dissemination of information about the art museum sector at a national level.
GAP tasks included full research and scoping for the conference including community consultation, content development, and planning. GAP organised the event for over 100 delegates, undertook all travel arrangements for speakers, coordinated the program, catering, speaker presentations. GAP prepared grant applications, sponsorship proposals and submissions to philanthropic trusts, managed the budget and produced the post-summit publication.
